Last updated: October 23, 2026

The standard U.S. securities settlement cycle is generally T+1, meaning one business day after the trade date for covered securities transactions.

SEC staff FAQ states that the compliance date for amendments to Rule 15c6-1 reducing the standard settlement cycle from T+2 to T+1 was May 28, 2024.
