What Can I Trade on Clear Street?

The Clear Street active trading platform supports U.S. equities and listed U.S. options, where enabled and approved for your account. Available products, permissions, fees, and order capabilities can vary by account.

Supported products

U.S. equities, including long positions and, where enabled, short sales of easy-to-borrow (ETB) securities and of securities that are not on the ETB list. For securities not on the ETB list, borrow availability is checked automatically when you submit the order. Short sales require a margin account. See 📄 Short Selling, ETB, and Locate Requests .
U.S. stocks and ADRs that trade over the counter (OTC), during regular market hours. OTC securities aren't marginable. Foreign ordinary shares (OTC tickers ending in "F") aren't currently available.
Listed U.S. equity options, single-leg. The platform currently supports Level 1 and Level 2 strategies. See 📄 Enabling Options Trading on Your Account .
Cash-settled listed options, such as SPX, XSP, and VIX, where approved for your account.
Private-market (pre-IPO) offerings for eligible accredited or qualified purchaser clients. See 📄 Clear Street Private Markets .

Symbol search, charts, news, instrument pages, options chains, and watchlists.
Order placement for the order types and time-in-force values shown in the ticket.
Overnight trading (24/6) in U.S.-listed stocks, ETFs, and ADRs, using equity limit orders. Short sales of securities not on the ETB list can't be placed in the overnight session. See 📄 Overnight Trading (24/6) .
Account, portfolio, activity, and alert workflows.
